Scientific femtosecond Yb based laser features ideal, pedestal-free transform-limited <200 fs pulses with average power > 2 W, at wavelength around 1030 or 1040 nm. The pulse repetition rate is user-defined and could be selected within 40 to 150 MHz range. The high peak power is ideally suited for applications in nanosurgery, TPE, SHG and THG bioimaging. Laser central wavelength around 1 micron enables deeper penetration and simplified SHG and THG imaging, when compared to a standard Ti:sapphire laser. Some of other applications include pump probe experiments, nonlinear optics, multiphoton excitation, comb spectroscopy, to name a few.
